The focus of this conference is on <a href=\"https:\/\/elex.link\/elex2021\/\"><strong>post-editing lexicography<\/strong><\/a>. Beyond this year&#8217;s topic, papers discussing any of the following areas of lexicography are cordially welcome:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dictionary content in different digital media (e.g. mobile devices, tablets)<\/li>\n<li>Exploitation of language resources (e.g. via API): monolingual and multilingual corpora, learner corpora, lexical databases (e.g. Wordnet, Framenet, DANTE, Wikipedia)<\/li>\n<li>Linked lexical data, its integration and presentation<\/li>\n<li>Automatic creation of dictionary content<\/li>\n<li>Visualisation of lexical data<\/li>\n<li>New reference tools with a dictionary element (e.g. learning tools, writing assistants)<\/li>\n<li>Dictionary writing systems and other software available to the lexicographer<\/li>\n<li>Integration of NLP tools (e.g. grammatical annotation, speech synthesis)<\/li>\n<li>Usage practices of the users of electronic dictionaries<\/li>\n<li>Automated customisation of dictionaries to users\u2019 needs and characteristics (e.g. proficiency level, mother tongue)<\/li>\n<li>Integration of electronic dictionaries into language learning and teaching (e.g. CALL, translator training)<\/li>\n<li>Crowdsourcing and its use in lexicography<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Language of the conference: English<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\" id=\"style-css-av-5bo48w-6a94028e00ecb65e37b68627aac51441\">\n.flex_column.av-5bo48w-6a94028e00ecb65e37b68627aac51441{\nborder-radius:0px 0px 0px 0px;\npadding:0px 0px 0px 0px;\n}\n<\/style>\n<div  class='flex_column av-5bo48w-6a94028e00ecb65e37b68627aac51441 av_four_fifth  avia-builder-el-3  el_after_av_one_full  el_before_av_one_full  first flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding  column-top-margin'     ><section  class='av_textblock_section av-ppc0-4763e8af8b08d7c8629d3a22126785e3 '   itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h2>Abstracts<\/h2>\n<p>The abstracts, to be submitted by <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">8 February 2021 (extended)<\/span><\/strong>, should be between <strong>300\u2013500<\/strong> words in length (excluding references).<\/p>\n<p>There will be three categories of presentation at the conference:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paper (25 minutes, including discussion)<\/li>\n<li>Software presentation (25 minutes, including discussion)<\/li>\n<li>Posters and demos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Software presentations should not include only a demo of the software but also other aspects, such as the analysis of user needs, the rationale for certain features, specifics of projects\/datasets, etc. The posters and demos are intended to present research still at a preliminary stage and on which researchers would like to get feedback.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to give a presentation at the conference, you must have your abstract accepted. Details to follow soon.<\/p>\n<p><del>Given the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the format of the physical conference will be fixed no later than 60 days before the conference. If the epidemiological situation and travel restrictions do not allow for a physical event, the conference will be held virtually in which case the format may change to accommodate the specifics of online events. Proceedings will be published in either case.<\/del><br \/>\nAs a result, there will be no early-bird registration but a two-week registration window after the conference format is announced (ca.
